To provide for an uninterrupted tour of duty by Special Operations Section (SOS) personnel.
It is the policy of SOS that assigned personnel work
an uninterrupted tour of duty after reporting for assignment.
3.1 The SOS commander is responsible
for implementing this directive. 3.2 SOS Unit commanders and supervisors
will closely monitor the actions of subordinate personnel and ensure
compliance with this directive.
4.1 All SOS personnel will indicate on
a daily activity sheet and/or sign in log the beginning and ending time
worked during that day’s tour of duty. 4.2 Extra jobs are strictly prohibited
during an employee’s tour of duty and violations will be subject to
disciplinary action. 4.3 After reporting for duty, SOS
personnel will not interrupt the workday by using leave time (vacation,
compensatory time, etc.) and returning to work on the same day without the
specific authorization of the unit commander. 4.4 Each unit will maintain an
authorized leave calendar that will reflect the following: the name of any
personnel authorized to utilize leave time on that date, the type of leave
time approved for use, and the initials of the approving supervisor or unit
commander. 4.5 Utilization of accrued leave time,
including special circumstances such as medical appointments, etc., will
require prior supervisory approval and will be documented on the unit leave
calendar.
