Submitting Arrest Reports to the Atlanta Housing Authority

1.               PURPOSE

 

The intent of this directive is to ensure that copies of arrest reports made on Atlanta Housing Authority (AHA) properties are reported to AHA management.

 

2.               POLICY

 

The Atlanta Police Department is committed to assisting AHA in creating a safer environment.

 

3.               RESPONSIBILITIES

 

3.1                           All officers will make copies of arrest reports that are made on AHA properties.

 

3.2              The watch commander or designee will ensure that copies of the arrest reports are forwarded to the FOD commander’s designee.

 

4.               ACTION

 

4.1                           If an officer makes an arrest on AHA properties, he/she will make a copy of that report at the end of his/her tour of duty.

 

4.2                           The copies of reports will be placed in the basket marked “AHA Reports” on the date the arrest is made.

 

4.3                           The watch commander or designee will place the copies in a file to be maintained upon request.

 

4.4                           The watch commander or designee will keep a record of the arrest reports that are forwarded to AHA on a Hand Delivery Log.

 

4.5                           The person receiving the reports must sign the Hand Delivery Log.
