To allow the Police Athletic League, the Community Services Unit, the Crime Analysis Unit, and FOD Administrative Office to deviate from the department dress code due to the requirements of their jobs.
The Police Athletic League and the Community Services Unit will be allowed to wear uniforms as outlined in this directive.
3.1 All supervisors will ensure that all employees comply with the requirements of this directive.
3.2 Employees will adhere to the requirements of this directive and only wear uniforms approved by this directive.
4.1 Police Athletic League
1. The following clothing may be worn by employees assigned to the Police Athletic League:
a. Blue or White Tee Shirt or Polo Type Shirt (long or short sleeve) with the PAL logo on the left breast
b. Khaki Pants or Shorts
c. Black or White Athletic Shoes
d. Navy Blue sweat shirt and pants with the PAL logo on the left breast and left pant leg
4.2 Community Services Section
1. The following uniform may be worn by Crime Prevention Inspectors for special details (fingerprinting, community assessments, surveys, etc.):
a. Black polo shirt, long or short sleeve, with the APD emblem on left breast
b. Khaki Pants
4.3 Crime Analysis Unit
1. The following uniform may be worn by employees assigned to the Crime Analysis Unit:
a. Black Polo Shirt, long or short sleeve, with the APD emblem on left breast
b. Khaki Pants
4.4 FOD Administrative Office
1. The following uniform may be worn by employees assigned to the FOD Administrative Office:
a. Black Polo Shirt, long or short sleeve, with the APD emblem on left breast
b. Khaki Pants
